Surveys are a kind of “health check” for buildings. If you are buying a property you should have a survey carried out before you enter into a contract.
Also a survey can actually save you money. If there are problems, you can often re-negotiate the sale price of the property to reflect the cost of necessary repairs – or you may even decide you do not want to buy it at all.
Experience Matters
We will report on all the parts of the property that can be easily reached and seen in accordance with Terms of Engagement agreed with you beforehand.
There are three levels of survey undertaken by RICS members:
- Level 1 – RICS Condition Report
- Level 2 – RICS HomeBuyer Report
- Level 3 – RICS Building Survey Report
Talk them through with us– we will be happy to discuss your particular concerns in more detail and help you decide which type of survey is right for you.
If you are interested in making structural changes to the property or you think there may be a damp or dry rot problem, structural movement, non-compliance with Planning or Building Regulations, etc. we will be able to advise you about this too.
Our report is designed to help you make a more informed decision. Costs vary according to which type of survey you have but all can offer reassurance at a reasonable and competitive price.
